How Mindful Monkey works for your family

Mindful Monkey helps kids build healthy habits and calm-down skills through small daily goals, with Berry the purple monkey as their buddy. Here's what your child will do, and what you can see.

What your child does

Daily goals

Kids pick goals from everyday areas like getting ready, being kind, calming down, eating well and moving their bodies. A few examples:

Goals can have a reminder, which the app schedules on the device.

My Path

Doing 3 activities a day fills Berry up with bananas and completes that day on the path. The path goes week by week, with a short lesson along the way.

Mindful Moments

Short activities kids can open anytime, especially when they need a reset: breathing with a balloon, the 5-4-3-2-1 noticing game, stretches, a body scan, cloud meditation, gratitude, naming feelings, spotting thinking traps, wiggling, and coloring.

Feelings check-in

Each day Berry asks how your child is feeling, from Great to Rough. Their answers fill a feelings calendar they can look back on.

Quests and the shop

Bigger goals, like a 3-day streak or finishing 7 days on the path, earn jewels. Kids spend jewels in the shop on outfits for Berry, jungle decorations and treats.

What you can see

The parent account

You create the account in the app (Berry's page > Parent account) with your name, your email, a password, and your child's first name. Your child never types in an email.

The daily activity email

If you turn it on, you'll get a short email each evening with your child's mood check-in, the feelings they picked, the activities they finished and the goals they checked off. You can switch it off anytime on Berry's page.
